FINAL
Suns 96, Kings 88

PHOENIX - The Kings were outscored 26-17 in the fourth quarter and lost their third consecutive game at US Airways Center.

The Kings shot 38.4 percent for the game and were outplayed by the Suns after halftime. The Kings scored 36 second-half points.

Steve Nash led the Suns (17-20) with 19 points and seven assists. Marcus Thornton led the Kings (12-25) with 21 points.

THIRD QUARTER
Kings 71, Suns 70

PHOENIX - The Kings shooting continues to be bad (38.5 percent) but the Kings are clinging to a lead after Travis Outlaw made a dunk at the buzzer to end the quarter.

The Suns outplayed the Kings most of the quarter and even led 68-61 with 4:06 left in the third.

Tyreke Evans had seven points in the quarter to keep the Kings in the game. Marcus Thornto leads the Kings with 19 points on 8-of-21 shooting. DeMarcus Cousins has 14 points and 14 rebounds but is shooting 6-of-19.

Steve Nash leads the Suns with 16 points and five assists. Marcin Gortat has 14 points and 15 rebounds.

HALFTIME
Kings 52, Suns 47

PHOENIX - Behind Marcus Thornton (14 points) and DeMarcus Cousins (12 pints, 10 rebounds) the Kings are leading.

The Kings led by as much as 10 in the quarter even though they are shooting just 42.6 percent. It helped that the Suns shot just 7-of-22 in the quarter.

The Kings have only four turnovers, too.

Steve Nash has 11 points and three assists for Phoenix. Nine different Suns have scored, including seven points off the bench from Robin Lopez and six from Sebastian Telfair.

FIRST QUARTER
Kings 32, Suns 29

PHOENIX - Marcus Thornton is off to a fast start with 13 points for the Kings. But if the Kings are to win this game, they can't allow the Suns to continue to shoot so well.

The Kings led by as many as nine points, but the Suns are shooting 60.9 percent to stay in the game. The Kings are shooting 46.7 percent.

Donte' Greene started the game for Jason Thompson to defend Phoenix's wing-oriented power forward Channing Frye.

Frye had only three points while Greene has seven points.

Center Marcin Gortat leads the Suns with eight points and five rebounds.
