In-game blog: Kings vs. Mavericks

FINAL
Kings 110, Mavericks 97

The Kings are 2-0 on their franchise-record nine-game homestand after blowing out Dallas Friday at Power Balance Pavilion.

The Kings had lost 10 consecutive games to the Mavericks.

All five starters scored in double figures for the Kings (14-26), led by Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thornton with 17 points apiece. DeMarcus Cousins added 15 points.

The Kings had seven players score in doubles figures and shot above 50 percent or better for the second game in a row.

The Kings scored 28 points off 17 turnovers by Dallas.

Jason Terry led the Mavericks (23-19) with 23 points.

THIRD QUARTER
Kings 88, Mavericks 72

The Kings have led by as many as 19 points over the Mavericks, who cannot contain the Kings on offense tonight.

The Kings have 21 assists, their third consecutive game with at least 20 assits.

All five starters have scored in double figures for the Kings, led by Marcus Thornton and Tyreke Evans with 17 points apiece. All 10 Kings that have played have scored.

The Kings also have 19 points off 11 Dallas turnovers. The Kings have only six turnovers.

Jason Terry has 17 points to lead Dallas. Shawn Marion and Ian Mahinmi each have 12 points and seven rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki has 11 points and nine rebounds.

HALFTIME
Kings 54, Mavericks 44

The Kings continued to take advantage of Dallas mistakes and poor shooting to lead at halftime.

The Kings have 13 points off eight Dallas turnovers. Dallas is also shooting just 37 percent.

Marcus Thornton has made six of his eight shots and has 13 points to lead the Kings. The only other Kings in double figures is Tyreke Evans with 11 points.

DeMarcus Cousins has two points, three rebounds and four assists in his first game back after missing Wednesday's game with food poisoning.

Jason Terry leads Dallas with 12 points off the bench. Dirk Nowitzki has only six points but has nine rebounds for Dallas.

Donte' Greene started the game to defend Nowitzki.

FIRST QUARTER
Kings 31, Mavericks 22

The Kings have taken advantage of some sloppy play by Dallas, converting five turnovers into nine points for a good start to the game.

The Kings are 52.2 percent while the Mavericks are shooting just 33.3 percent.

Marcus Thornton and Tyreke Evans each have seven points to lead the Kings. Jason Terry has five points to lead the Mavericks.

The Kings led by as many as 13 points in the first quarter.

The Mavs have eight offensive rebounds but have only converted them into four points.
