Thompson will not play at Golden State

OAKLAND -- Kings forward Jason Thompson will not play tonight against the Golden State Warriors because of a sprained left ankle.

Thompson hurt his ankle at the end of Thursday's loss to Utah. Kings coach Keith Smart said because the Warriors use a small lineup that would have limited Thompson's playing time, tonight was ideal to give Thompson a break.

Smart did not announce who would start for Thompson, but Donte' Greene is likely to take his place.

Smart also did not announce if Tyreke Evans had decided he wanted to be back in the starting lineup. Evans has come off the bench for two games after missing two games with a sprained left ankle.
