In-game blog: Kings vs. Pacers

FINAL
Pacers 97, Kings 92

David West (31 points, 11 rebounds) was too much for the Kings as the Pacers swept the season series with the Kings, 2-0.

The Kings (4-11) could have tied the game late, but Marcus Thornton's 27-foot three pointer over Roy Hibbert was off.

DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings with 19 points and 16 rebounds. But it was a bad shooting night for Cousins, who shot 5 of 17.

Thornton had 15 points starting for the injured Tyreke Evans. Jimmer Fredette and Francisco Garcia each had 12 points off the bench.
George Hill added 25 points for the Pacers (8-8)

THIRD QUARTER
Pacers 72, Kings 67

David West scored 10 of his 25 points in the third quarter to keep the Pacers in the lead after the Kings had taken a brief five-point lead.

DeMarcus Cousins has 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Kings.

It was a better showing from the starters after a bad first half. Marcus Thornton now has 11 points.

Jimmer Fredette has 10 points off the bench.

George Hill has 15 points for the Pacers.

HALFTIME
Pacers 43, Kings 40

The Kings can thank their bench for being in this game. The starters have shot 6 of 18 and have just 17 points (it should be noted Tyreke Evans is know playing with a bruised left knee).

Ten of those shots were by DeMarcus Cousins, who made three.

The bench made up for the starters, led by Francisco Garcia's nine points. Jimmer Fredette added eight points off the bench.

The Kings' reserves shot 10 of 20.

Cousins has nine points and eight rebounds.

David West has a game-high 15 points for Indiana.

FIRST QUARTER
Pacers 20, Kings 17

The Kings are playing tonight with Tyreke Evans (bruised left knee) and the Kings struggled to start the game on offense.

The Kings missed 3 of 16 to start, but received a boost from Jimmer Fredette. Fredette had six points and an assist off the bench to jump start the offense.

The Kings shot 7 of 21 for the quarter.

It was a rough start for DeMarcus Cousins, who was 2 of 7 for four points. He shot 9 of 27 in the first meeting at Indiana this season.

David West has six points to lead the Pacers.
