In-game blog: Kings vs. Pistons

FINAL
Kings 105, Pistons 103

The Kings (2-3) held off the Pistons (0-5) with seven players scoring in double figures.

There was an ugly moment when Thomas Robinson was ejected with 10 minutes to play for flagrant foul 2 after elbowing Jonas Jerebko in the head and neck area.

DeMarcus Cousins lead the Kings with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Greg Monroe had 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for Detroit.

THIRD QUARTER
Kings 79, Pistons 71

The Kings have managed to maintain their lead with balanced offense.

Tyreke Evans and Isaiah Thomas each have 15 points. Evans scored 11 points in the third quarter.

DeMarcus Cousins has 13 points and seven rebounds. Jason Thompson has 12 points.

Cousins began the third quarter wearing a shoulder harness after a flagrant foul in the second quarter by Jason Maxiell.

But two minutes into the third Cousins left the game to remove the harness.

Greg Monroe has 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for Detroit. Brandon Knight leads the Pistons with 15 points.

HALFTIME
Kings 55, Pistons 46

After Isaiah Thomas played the entire first quarter, Aaron Brooks took over for the entire second quarter and scored eight points to go with two assists and help the Kings take a lead at halftime.

DeMarcus Cousins has 10 points and five rebounds for the Kings.

Center Greg Monroe leads the Pistons with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.

The Kings have been hustling and have 12 second-chance points. Credit Thomas Robinson, who has six rebounds, four of them offensive.

FIRST QUARTER
Pistons 27, Kings 26

Isaiah Thomas is off to a hot start shooting, but the Kings still trail after a quarter.

Thomas made 5 of 8 shots for 12 points. DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson each have six points for the Kings.

Jason Maxiell has nine points to lead Detroit. Brandon Knight has eight points.

The Kings have four turnovers while the Pistons have just one. The Kings are shooting 50 percent whit the Pistons are at 47.8 percent.
