Kings guard Tyreke Evans will see Dr. Steve Lombardo in Los Angeles on Wednesday for a second opinion on his sore left knee, the team announced this morning.
Lombardo is the team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers and specializes in shoulders, elbows and knees.
Evans did not travel with the team for their four-game road trip that starts Tuesday in Detroit. The team charter flight was due to leave Sacramento at 10 a.m.
Evans has played in only 18 games because of problems with his knee. He'd targeted Sunday's game against Boston to return.
Evans is averaging 15.1 points per game, second on the Kings this season.
