MIAMI - The final piece of last week's trade will soon be joining the Kings.
Center Cole Aldrich will be with the Kings as early as tomorrow. Aldrich did not meet up with the Kings in New Orleans to stay in Sacramento for more medical testing.
"He's doing his final testing and should be joining us somewhere on this trip," said Kings coach Keith Smart.
Aldrich will have to do a lot to earn playing time behind DeMarcus Cousins, Jason Thompson and Chuck Hayes for minutes at center, but if he brings the "refreshing" professional approach of Toney Douglas and Patrick Patterson, Smart will be pleased.
"I talked to (Aldrich) last night," Smart said. "He's in great spirits and looking forward to coming out and playing with us and being around the team, which will be good for him."
