In-game blog: Kings at Magic

THIRD QUARTER
Kings 98, Magic 68

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Kings are rolling behind 21 points from John Salmons and 17 points apiece from Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thornton.

Evans also has seven assists as the Kings have been in control of the game most of the night.

Salmons has made four of his five three pointers and 13 of his last 16 from three-point range.

The Kings are shooting 56.3 percent tonight.

HALFTIME
Kings 67, Magic 44

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Kings posted season highs for field goals made (28) and assists (22) in a half and led by as many as 25 points in the second quarter.

Marcus Thornton has 13 points to lead five Kings in double figures. DeMarcus Cousins, Tyreke Evans, John Salmons and Patrick Patterson all have 10 points.

Cousins also has five rebounds and four assists. Evans has five assists and three steals.

The Kings are shooting 62.2 percent while the Magic are at 35.7 percent.

About the only thing to complain about the Kings is the six turnovers they had in the second quarter, but they've forced nine turnovers and scored 15 points off them.

E'Twuan Moore and Arron Afflalo each have nine points for the Magic.

At this pace the Kings could hold an opponent under 100 points for the first time Feb. 4 - a span of eight games.

FIRST QUARTER
Kings 36, Magic 22

ORLANDO, Fla. - After a slow star, the Kings have jumped all over the Magic with a balanced attack on offense that included 11 assists and no turnovers.

The Kings closed the quarter on a 29-9 run, led by DeMarcus Cousins (eight points, four rebounds, three assists), John Salmons (seven points, three assists) and Tyreke Evans (four points, four assists, two steals).

The Kings shot 56 percent (14 of 25) while the Magic shot 33.3 percent (6 of 18).

E'twaun Moore scored nine of the Magic's first 13 points to lead Orlando.
