DeMarcus Cousins has been upset when he's been left out of games in the fourth quarters.
So Cousins was asked if he was surprised Jason Thompson wasn't on the court with him on the court in the fourth even though he had 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
"I can't make a call on that," Cousins said. "That's not my decision."
That decision had players confused, as did the decision not to play Isaiah Thomas most of the fourth quarter.
Thomas didn't stick around to answer questions. I don't remember him ever doing that in two seasons.
Thompson was about as controversial (while remaining diplomatic) as he ever gets in discussing the situation:
"I don't know why I didn't but sometimes you've just got to go with the flow. Especially those games, when you're in good rhythm and it's positive, it's not like you were down or anything like that, you were definitely up at times and energy was there, making shots, feeling good - the last place I want to be is watching it from the bench. For me being a veteran kind of, slightly, being my fifth year, you try not to get too frustrated; you try and learn from it."
After saying he might take to Twitter for suggestions, Thompson tweeted this after the game.

For the record, Smart said he took a chance with Patrick Patterson finishing the game again for his defense.
Thompson's plus/minus was a minus-5. Patterson was a minus-2.
*The Kings are probably still furious about not getting a foul call on Dwight Howard in the final seconds of Saturday's game.
But the most critical time of the game might have been with 5:39 left in the third quarter when the Kings led 72-65.
The Kings committed five turnovers to close the quarter (they had seven in the third) as the Lakers close the third on a 17-3 run.
The Kings tried to dribble their way through the defense too much and it cost them and they had to play catch up the rest of the night.
"It was tough, but even with their run I believe we still were able to keep the game close," Cousins said. "We had lot of opportunities down the stretch and we did make some mistakes but I'm proud of my team - our effort was incredible (Saturday) and we competed our (butts) off."
