OKLAHOMA CITY - Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had his technical foul from Sunday's game at Houston rescinded and will play tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
If the call had not been rescinded, it would have been Cousins' 16th technical foul of the season. Sixteen technical fouls result in a one-game suspension.
Cousins was called for a technical foul with 2:47 left in the first quarter for pushing Houston forward Greg Smith out of his way as he ran up the court.
After the game Cousins said referee Violet Palmer, who made the call, apologized last night.
This is the second technical foul Cousins has had rescinded this season.
It's also the second time in an as many seasons Cousins has needed to have a technical foul rescinded in order to play in a game late in the season at Oklahoma City.
