Kings ownership met with Memphis general manager Chris Wallace for a third time Wednesday in the Bay Area.
Wallace had widely been assumed to be the lead candidate to be the new Kings general manager early in the process, but the Kings have continued to speak with numerous candidates.
Wallace has been given permission to speak with the Kings because his role is diminished under new ownership in Memphis.
San Antonio assistant general manager Scott Layden is expected to meet with new majority owner Vivek Ranadive later this week.
Another name that has surfaced is Atlanta advisor and former general manager Rick Sund. It should be noted Sund has a good relationship with Jerry West who Ranadive has looked to for guidance during this process.
