Kings bosses come to Las Vegas to check out DeMarcus Cousins

LAS VEGAS - Center DeMarcus Cousins had some visitors at Team USA minicamp practice this afternoon.

Kings majority owner Vivek Ranadive chatted with Cousins following practice. Kings assistant general manager Mike Bratz and director of player personnel Shareef Abdur-Rahim were also at practice.

Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro was not at practice but is due into Las Vegas tonight. D'Alessandro was in Indianapolis for a workout featuring free agent center Greg Oden.

Jarinn Asana, senior vice president of agent Dan Fegan's Relativity Sports basketball division, was also on the court after practice and spoke with Cousins.

Cousins' relationship with the Kings has been scrutinized since he changed agents. He fired John Greig last December to go with Fegan, who also represents Cousins' good friend, John Wall, and Dwight Howard.

Cousins is eligible for a contract extension this summer and his representatives are waiting for the Kings to offer one.

That is the next major decision on deck for the Kings, who could opt to wait until next summer and make Cousins a restricted free agent.
