Kings fill void at small forward; agree to trade for Mbah a Moute

The Kings have agreed to acquire small forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute from the Milwaukee Bucks for two future second-round picks, The Bee has confirmed.

The deal will become official Wednesday when the league moratorium on transactions is lifted.

Mbah a Moute (6-8, 230), a noted defensive player, will be entering his sixth NBA season. He will be expected to fill the void at small forward the Kings have been looking to fill for some time.

Mbah a Moute has two years left on a four-year, $19 million contract he signed as a restricted free agent in Dec. 2011.

Denver signed him to the offer sheet and Milwaukee matched it.

Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro was a part of the front office that signed Mbah a Moute to the offer sheet.

Mbah a Moute was a second-round pick out of UCLA in 2009. He's appeared in 335 games (232 starts) with averages of 6.7 points and 4.4 rebounds.
