Tyreke Evans will meet with the Atlanta Hawks today and possibly one more team as the restricted free agent continues to field suitors.
Evans already has an offer on the table from the New Orleans Pelicans for four years worth at least $44 million.
The Kings met with Evans Monday evening to express their desire to keep Evans.
A source speaking on the condition of anonymity because negotiations are ongoing, indicated the Kings are considering matching the offer, even though the Pelicans' offer sheet is above what they thought Evans would receive from another team.
Evans could decide to accept the offer from the Pelicans and sign an offer sheet July 10 - the first day restricted free-agents are allowed to sign - but he is waiting to see if the Kings will present an offer that is comparable.
The Kings plan to meet with veteran point guard Jose Calderon today, and will continue to pursue swingman Andre Iguodala.
