Injury updates on Vasquez, Landry, Mbah a Moute

Kings coach Michael Malone said Greivis Vasquez is on track to make his Kings debut in Monday's preseason home opener against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Vasquez has been brought along slowly after offseason ankle surgery.

Luc Mbah a Moute (sore knee) and Carl Landry (strained quad) did not practice Saturday.

Mbah a Moute was held out of Thursday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Malone said it's Mbah a Moute's right knee that is sore, the same knee bothered him while playing for Milwaukee.

"Some days he's got to battle through it and other days he may have to sit out and try to get back to where it was," Malone said of Mbah a Moute.

Landry has yet to play during the preseason.

"I believe they've gotten the MRIs done and the results," Malone said. I'm waiting to speak with (director of sports medicine) Pete Youngman and (general manager) Pete D'Alessandro about that but Carl could be out for a short time as he kind of recoups from that quad strain."
