OAKLAND - The Kings lost their preseason opener, 94-81, to the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.
Isaiah Thomas led the Kings with 15 points and six assists. Ben McLemore added 13 points.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 23 points.
"I thought our defense through three quarters was great," said Kings coach Michael Malone. "Then (the Warriors) started off the fourth quarter on a 24 to 10 run."
Neither the Kings (41.1 percent) or Warriors (43.4 percent) shot well, but the Warriors scored 32 points in the fourth quarter.
The Kings held out Greivis Vasquez (ankle) and Carl Landry (quad). Malone said he wasn't sure if either would play Thursday.
The Kings do not want to rush Vasquez as he recovers from offseason ankle surgery.
