Atlanta's Schroder suspended for hitting DeMarcus Cousins in the groin

20131105_ha_KINGS1198.JPGThe NBA suspended Atlanta guard Dennis Schroder one game for hitting Kings center DeMarcus Cousins in the groin during the fourth quarter of Tuesday's game at Sleep Train Arena.

Schroeder will miss Atlanta's game at Denver tonight.

Cousins was irate after the play that occurred with 9:54 to play in the game because the officials missed it and did not call a foul of any kind.

The penalty for that kind of play is consistent with punishment Cousins received last season for hitting then-Dallas guard O.J. Mayo in the groin.

You can see the Schroder play here.
