Pregame notes: Team-oriented Lakers give Kings a lot to focus on

LOS ANGELES - The Lakers' three-point shooting and pick-and-roll offense are aspects the Kings have contain to have a chance at their second road win of the season.

The Lakers thrive at a fast pace and involving everyone, leading the NBA in bench scoring.

Their style gives everyone freedom to shoot, so the Kings have to be aware defensively at all times.

*Malone said Lakers forward Jordan Hill is "underrated" and a "high energy, hardworking" player that the Kings have to keep track of and not allow to dominate with his rebounding.

Maintaining body contact with Hill and Pau Gasol will be important.

"If we get caught ball watching tonight we're going to be in trouble," Malone said.

*Expect Jason Thompson to begin the game drawing the defensive assignment on Gasol to spare DeMarcus Cousins from getting into foul trouble.

Prediction time: This game is very winnable, so why not pick the Kings? Coming off a tough loss, perhaps the fire they showed in the second half will carry over to tonight.

Kings 111, Lakers 104
My record: 9-3
