As the peloton rolls out of Nevada City Sunday morning for the start of the Amgen Tour of California, The Bee and its Sacramento Connect partners will be transmitting photos and video, as well as providing updates and stories.

Seven Bee photographers will be taking pictures from strategic locations along the route. Before, during and after the race Bee photo editors will be updating sacbee.com with pictures, and if you see one you like you can buy it. You'll see the first photos from the race starting at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Sacramento Connect partners Jeff Pelline's Sierra Foothill Report, Yubanet.com and the Nevada City Advocate will also be moving photos, video and stories, with a Nevada City hometown perspective aimed at their primary audiences. Pelline reports that race organizers will be setting up Jumbotron screens in the downtowns of Nevada City, Auburn and Sacramento.

The Bee has already dubbed the race the most entertaining political campaign in the last 20 years in the county, and that was before the FBI felt the need to step in to set the record straight on some of the mudslinging and the three candidates each felt the need to take the unprecedented step of opening up their personnel files with the sheriff's department to the news media.

While the candidates, Jim Cooper, Bret Daniels and Scott Jones, have shown no lost love for one another, they have agreed to take your questions, and follow Breton's lead in the hour-long chat.
