Read the letters from DPA to State Fund about the $250 award

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for SCIF logo blk.JPGAs we reported Thursday, the $250 award planned for workers at State Compensation Insurance Fund hit a snag when the Department of Personnel Administration raised objections.

We asked DPA for any correspondence with the fund about the award issue. The administration sent us two e-mails that you can read by clicking here. The first by DPA Director Dave Gilb cites government code for the administration's action. The second by DPA's Chief Deputy Director, Debbie Endsley, references a response from the fund.

We understand that the two sides spoke over the phone this week prior to Endsley's e-mail.

Fund spokeswoman Jennifer Vargen said that she had no fund correspondence, and as far as she knows, State Fund and DPA are still talking.
