This fall, we had introduced shoppers to something called the "Jenny" skirt. At the time, Denise Masunaga, owner of the Madam Butterfly boutique in Pavilions, said the private-label skirt ($88) had become somewhat of an obsession at her store, mostly because of its flexibility. The layered skirt can be worn with a sweater or even extended into a dress and belted.
Now, Masunaga e-mails to say she's got the companion "Jenny" jacket (shown left), which is also $88. Actually, its formal name is the "Sgt. Pepper Jacket." Can't you see it on Paul or Ringo?
It's black velour with bronze buttons and a stand-up collar and comes in sizes small, medium and large. If you're looking for comfy-cozy, this is the jacket to hang in your closet.
Meanwhile, the trunk shows keep coming at Franco Ferrini, right around the corner from Madam Butterfly. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Tuesday, the store will host its Trollbeads trunk show. A representative from the company will be on hand to answer questions, so if someone on your gift list is into these gold and silver jewelry beads for necklaces, charms and bracelets, now's your chance to get them something special. And the store says it will have extra stock on hand for this two-day show.
