A sign that spring really will be here soon, the Sacramento Zoo is hosting its sixth annual Bloomin' Crazy Plant Fest on Saturday.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"As of right now Bloomin' Crazy is still on," said zoo spokeswoman Marisa Hicks. "The event is rain or shine, but if it is the rain is too hard, then we will cancel it the day of. We are definitely keeping our eye on the weather."

It's a chance to talk with all sorts of folks about how your garden grows. Among the groups represented are California Rare Fruit Growers, Capital City African Violet Society, Carmichael Geranium Society, Friends of San Juan de Oriente, Friends of Sacramento Public Library, Sacramento Bromeliad & Carnivorous Plant Society and Sacramento Orchid Society.
It is the zoo, after all, so there will be special programs focusing on the residents: a wildlife stage show at 11 a.m. and chats with zookeepers at 2:15, 2:30 and 2:45 p.m.
The zoo is on Land Park Drive near Sutterville Road. Admission is $11 general and $7 for ages 2-11.
