It only happens once a decade and this summer you can be part of it.
That happening is the San Francisco Opera's much awaited Ring Cycle, and it is seeking to cast extras for that operatic juggernaut.
The company is seeking 10 physically fit men to appear in the summer 2011 presentation of Richard Wagner's epic Ring Cycle. Casting will take place on Wednesday, April 27 at 7 p.m..
For the lucky 10 chosen, it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform as supernumeraries in two Ring cycle operas--"Die Walküre" and "Götterdämmerung."
Supernumeraries, also known as supers, act as extras (in costume with full make-up) on the stage in non-speaking, non-singing roles.

-Male adult
-Physically fit
-Flexible schedule
-Acting/performing arts experience preferred but not required
Time Commitment:
Attendance of 4 rehearsals per week between April 29 and May 15, and possibly more during dress rehearsal week: May 30 through June 12.
"Götterdämmerung" performances: June 5, 19, 26 & July 3, 2011
"Die Walküre" performances: June 15, 22, 29, 2011
