Here's a deal: See next weekend's Calaveras Home & Lifestyle Show for free.
Event sponsor Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital is now distributing free passes, a savings of $5 per adult admission. The passes are available at all Mark Twain St. Joseph's Family Medical Centers, located in Angels Camp, Copperopolis, Arnold, Valley Springs and San Andreas.
In addition, the passes can be picked up at: Advanced Solar Energy in Angels Camp; Gold Country Coffee in Murphys; Sonora Subaru in Sonora; Golden 1 Credit Union in Ione; Cost-U-Less in Sonora; All That Matters Framing & Gifts in Twain Harte; and Foothill Sierra Pest Control in Sonora.
Complete details are available at www.CalaverasHomeShow.com.
Held on the Frogtown fairgrounds of the Calaveras County Fair, the show will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 8 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 9.
Among the show highlights will be seminars including whole house generators (11 a.m. each day) and geothermal heat pumps (1 p.m. each day).
Home, garden and leisure time activites and products are packed into this autumn home show in the Sierra foothills. Organic gardening and sustainable farming also are spotlighted. Several of the area's 25 wineries will be represented, too.
