As part of its ongoing 75th birthday celebration, the UC Davis Arboretum will host a second fall plant sale Sunday.
Open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., this event reflects the arboretum's theme for the coming year: "Growing for the Future."
At the Arboretum Teaching Nursery on Garrod Drive across from the campus' small animal hospital, the sale will feature drought-tolerant easy-care plants for sustainable gardens.
Learn how you can save water, reduce pollution, support native pollinators and still enjoy a beautiful home landscape, say arboretum staff.
The event also will include a "Plant Doctor" clinic. Bring a sample from a problem plant, sealed in a plastic bag, for a free diagnosis.
Admission to the event is free. Among the hundreds of featured plants will be the arboretum's new "Community Favorites," great plants recommended by local gardeners, as well as the popular Arboretum All-Stars.
More than 1,300 gardeners attended the arboretum's first 75th birthday sale Sept. 24.
